What is Processing Modflow for Windows (PMWIN)?
PMWIN is one of the most complete groundwater simulation systems in the world. The companion CD of the book includes PMWIN (version 5.3) and all supported models (i.e., MODFLOW, MT3D, MT3DMS, MOC3D, PMPATH for Windows, PEST2000, and UCODE). The CD also contains around 3,000 pages of documentation, click here for the contents of the electronic documents.

The book explains the PMWIN software in details. Our goal is to provide a sophisticated and integrated groundwater modeling system at an affordable price with the hope that the very user-friendly implementation will lower the threshold that inhibits the widespread use of computer based groundwater models. To facilitate the use of PMWIN, three step-by-step tutorials and more than 60 documented ready-to-run models are described in the book. Some of these models deal with theoretical background; some of them are of practical value.

If you are not sure whether you should purchase the book, some reader reviews on
Amazon.com may help you in making decision. You may also wish to download and test the software. The software is free!
